About Me

Hello, My name is Kristie. I’m studying Music Education. My passions are Music, Teaching, Psychology, and Traveling. I hope to one day travel the world. I want to experience new things and meet interesting people.

I play the Clarinet, and I'm hoping the music I make with it will one day inspire my students. My interests include hiking, gardening, cooking, home decorating, hello kitty, and everything else creative, girly, and cute.

I’ve changed my URL and Title of my blog.

The URL is teaching-blog because that is exactly what the purpose of this blog will be in a few years. I’m a bit too excited to wait on creating a blog for this purpose. In a few years I will be somewhere in the world teaching Elementary Music for the first time. I will be very, very nervous, and I will need a place that I can write about my struggles and achievements. I will share ideas that I can do for the classroom, and get comments, compliments, or criticism for all of them (hopefully). I want this to be a place that I can grow and learn from my mistakes. This will be my connection to the people back at home. Sure, I could just use Facebook, but this seems more creative. I can also post my own pictures of Italy, Japan, or Turkey, or whenever I might be so it can be like a little travel journal as well.

But, for now… I don’t have much going on in my life besides school, so I reblog a lot. It seems pointless, but I’m excited for the day that my whole life will turn around. It’s part of the reason why I want to teach abroad… I just want to force myself to be in a new place so I can be out of my shell. To be honest, I hate the way I am. I really hate how I’m quiet and I don’t (want to) do anything with people. Day to day I want to stay at home where it’s comfortable and safe, but every few weeks I get lonely and I desire an exciting life.

I made my title “Wanderlust” because I had just learned the word today and I realized that it describes me very well. “A desire to travel, to understand one’s very existence.” I don’t think that needs any more explaining lol.
